1. Acceptance of Terms

By using The Quinfall Companion Discord Bot ("the Bot"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Bot.

2. Description of Service

The Quinfall Companion is a Discord bot designed to assist players of the game Quinfall with:

• Boss timer tracking and notifications
• Recipe management (cooking, alchemy, crafting)
• Gear set recommendations
• OCR (Optical Character Recognition) for game screenshots
• Resource mapping and information

3. User Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use this Bot
• You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines
• You must have permission to use the Discord server where the Bot is installed

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Bot only for its intended gaming-related purposes. You will NOT:

• Use the Bot for any illegal activities
• Attempt to exploit, hack, or reverse engineer the Bot
• Send spam, malicious content, or excessive requests
• Share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with the Bot's operation or other users' experience
• Use the Bot to harass, abuse, or harm others

5. Data Collection and Privacy

Information We Collect:

• Discord user IDs for authentication and user identification
• Server/guild IDs where the Bot is used
• Commands and interactions with the Bot
• Images uploaded for OCR processing (temporarily processed and not stored)
• Boss timer data and recipe information you submit

How We Use Your Data:

• To provide Bot functionality and services
• To improve Bot performance and features
• To maintain service security and prevent abuse
• To provide user support when requested

Data Retention:

• User data is retained only as long as necessary for service provision
• OCR images are processed in memory and not permanently stored
• You may request data deletion by contacting the Bot administrators

6. Content and Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Bot
• By using the Bot, you grant us a license to process your submissions for service provision
• The Bot's code, features, and associated materials are protected by intellectual property laws
• Game-related data (recipes, boss timers, etc.) belongs to the respective game developers

7. Service Availability

• The Bot is provided "as is" without guarantees of uptime or availability
• We may temporarily suspend service for maintenance, updates, or technical issues
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot at any time
• We are not responsible for Discord platform outages or issues

8. Limitation of Liability

• The Bot is provided for entertainment and gaming assistance purposes only
• We are not liable for any damages arising from Bot usage
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of game-related information
• Use the Bot at your own risk

9. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Discord account
• Complying with all applicable laws and Discord's Terms of Service
• Reporting any Bot issues or violations to administrators
• Using the Bot respectfully and appropriately

10. Prohibited Content

Do not submit or share:

• Personally identifiable information of others
• Copyrighted material without permission
• Malicious files or content
• Content that violates Discord's Community Guidelines
• Spam or excessive automated requests

11. Enforcement and Violations

Violations of these Terms may result in:

• Temporary or permanent Bot access restrictions
• Removal from Discord servers where the Bot operates
• Reporting to Discord or relevant authorities if necessary

12. Updates to Terms

• We may update these Terms at any time
• Continued use of the Bot after updates constitutes acceptance
• Significant changes will be communicated through appropriate channels
• The effective date will be updated with any revisions

13. Termination

• You may stop using the Bot at any time
• We may terminate or restrict your access for Terms violations
• Termination does not affect previously incurred obligations

14. Third-Party Services

The Bot may interact with:

• Discord's API and services
• Azure Cognitive Services for OCR functionality
• Game-related databases and APIs

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

15. Support and Contact

For questions, issues, or Terms-related inquiries:

• Use the Bot's support commands
• Contact server administrators where the Bot is installed
• Report serious issues through appropriate Discord channels

16. Disclaimer

• Game information provided by the Bot may become outdated
• We are not affiliated with Quinfall game developers
• The Bot is a community tool and not an official game service
• Features may change based on game updates or Discord API changes

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws where the Bot service is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Bot operators regarding the use of the Bot.
